What is thread pitch:

Inch - The number of threads per inch

Metric - The distance between crests of adjacent threads

Diameter Inches   Threads per inch   Type Diameter Millimeters   Distance millimeters   Type
3/4 - 10 = Coarse M8 x 1.25 = Coarse
3/4 - 16 = Fine M8 x 1 = Fine
